REALM OF THE RIVER, by Jesse Bliss, took nine years to finish and was brought to completion in the spring of 2025. 

 

This full length play explores the lives of three women friends, bonded through determination to stay free, true to themselves and continue to have fun, no matter the darkness of the world. They convene at their sacred place and ride out in their gold convertible Impala to enjoy a night of dancing, sweating, and upliftment when suddenly, things take a terrible turn, outside their control. They go to the water for answers and help...to find more than they ever could have imagined.

 

In 2021, during the pandemic, we presented a virtual reading of the play, as well as a live reading this past spring as part of the WOMEN AT WORK new works readings.
