REALM OF THE RIVER

Water kills. Water heals. Water remembers.

Following our recent sold-out immersive Highland Park Theatrical Tour, LUMINOUS STREETS, The Roots and Wings Project returns to the stage for two weeks only with the world premiere of REALM OF THE RIVER, written and directed by Jesse Bliss.

The show lights up the beloved Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts, an exquisite venue that has hosted previous Roots and Wings Project productions.

Close friends enjoy a magic night out. Fun and freedom suddenly take a dark turn when an unforeseen and insurmountable circumstance invokes a mystic force, bringing everyone face to face with the true work of healing.

An excerpt from REALM OF THE RIVER will also appear in Jesse Bliss’s forthcoming memoir, A Record of Light: A Memoir in Plays, Poems, and Prose, coming January 2027 from Riot of Roses Publishing House.

It will make its world premiere in September 2026 at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts.
